Gary Rowett Hopes To Have More Options For The Rams

|

With the international break now behind us manager Gary Rowett hopes to have more of his injured squad back to face Sunderland later today.

With the postponement of the Cardiff City game prior to the break, Tom Huddlestone will now serve his one game ban as the Sky Sports cameras are again at Pride Park. However, Rowett is hopeful that Joe Ledley, George Thorne an Marcus Olsson could be fit enough to make the matchday squad telling the Derby Evening Telegraph:

“We have had some of those players back in training, back this week, and some hopefully might make the end of the week. We always knew that with the international break, two weeks is a long time in football in terms of some of the injuries. In some of the press conferences of course as a manager you are going to play that down a little bit, you are not going to sit there and tell them that Vydra is back and so and so is back.’

Goodness knows we need them back for this crucial period of the season.  Maybe, for once, the international break has done us a favour?
