With the turmoil brought about by the leaving of former Rams manager Gary Rowett and after certain members of the backroom crew followed suit and followed Rowett to Stoke City, Derby County now announce some quality replacements.
Shay Given the 42-year-old former Republic of Ireland International comes to join Frank Lampard and his Army as Head goalkeeping coach. The former Celtic, Blackburn, Newcastle, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Stoke keeper will take up his duties at Derby soon. Meanwhile, Scott Carson welcomes the appointment of one of his goalkeeping heroes.

Derby County has also added to their staff with former Manchester City performance analysist Stephen Rands. The 32-year-old joins Derby even though his contract at Manchester City didn’t finish until June 20
21. Frank Lampard believes his experience in analysis of the players will greatly benefit the Rams, as Rands has worked with some of the best players and managers in the World.
Both signings come after the appointment of Chris Jones, which we reported yesterday. Jones will take up the post of Head coach to the first team.
All in all a formidable line-up is emerging in Frank Lampard’s backroom staff in his first management role.
