After Saturday’s belittling at the hands of Reading, Derby hope to move into ‘home mode’ when fellow strugglers Millwall come to town.

Victory for the Rams would make Championship football a near certainty at Pride Park next season, whilst defeat would move the Lions to within 6 points of Terry Westley’s side.

Vital Quotes:

Derby County Team News:

There’s mixed news for the Rams – Michael Johnson, Mounir El Hamdaoui & Kevin Lisbie all trained on Thursday and are expected to be available for selection.

The unlucky Seth Johnson has recovered from his knee injury but has now gone down with a virus – he will be checked out before the game. Adam Bolder has injured his foot in a domestic accident at home, although manager Terr Westley expects him to be fit with the aid of a pain killing injection.

Rams fans will hope that the set-piece king returns to form on Saturday – his contribution could be vital.

Match Facts & Stats

In last years fixture, the Rams suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat thanks to a Barry Hayles hat-trick.

In the reverse fixture this season, the Lions won again – this time by 2 goals to 1.

Ref Watch:

Paul Taylor (Hertfordshire) is the man in the middle on Saturday – this is his 2nd visit to PPS this season, as he also officiated the Boxing Day 1-1 draw against Luton.

Match Prediction:

After recklessly predicting a win against Reading last week, I’m going with my head for this one…..and I can see the Rams winning by the odd goal in three in a tight affair: so it’s 2-1 Derby, El Hamdaoui & Idiakez with the goals! Come on you Rams!!!!!
