Jozefzoon hopes to make an appearance against his former team

The Rams are looking to improve on the performance and result from Tuesday’s draw with Blackburn at Pride Park as they welcome Brentford this weekend.

Florian Jozefzoon will hope to play against his former employers as the Dutch winger is trying to cement a regular place in the Rams starting line-up.

The Rams will again be without Tom Lawrence, who will serve his second of the three-match bans he picked up following his recent straight red card. Curtis Davies will also not make the game but it is hoped that he could start training again next week. Davies is said to be ahead of George Evans in respect of recovery from injury and Evans is another player who will miss this weekends game.

Brentford come to Pride Park in 3rd place in the league after a great start to the season and two wins out of three games so far in September. The wins coming against Nottingham Forest (2-1) and a 2-0 win over Wigan and a draw against Ipswich Town.

Your referee for the weekend will be Andrew Madley a 35-year-old teacher from Huddersfield. Mr Madley has taken charge of 7 Championship games this season, issued 16 yellow cards and 1 red card. He will be ably assisted by Lee Venamore and Mark Russell, with the 4th official being Akil Howson.
