Kevin Kilbane and Jamie Ward have both pulled out of the upcoming round of internationals with injuries having suffered relapses. Kilbane, who had not missed a competitive international for twelve years before a back injury struck earlier this season, is suffering from a hamstring injury picked up in training. He missed three matches before returning to the bench as an unused substitute against Leicester City last weekend and was named in the Republic of Ireland`s squad but will remain with The Rams squad to work on his fitness.

Jamie Ward has also been withdrawn from Nigel Worthington`s Northern Ireland squad with a similar injury, Ward was replaced on ninety minutes at the King Power stadium but has been suffering from a tight hamstring at times this season. Having won his first full cap back in August Ward had pulled out of the squad with the same injury in September and has had to declare himself unavailable again in hope that he will be fit to face Southampton after the international break.
