Paul Green played a key part in our winning goal against Plymouth on Saturday, and he is looking to claim this! However he concedes that this is a long shot and his chances of getting it are slim.

‘I’ve already had a goal taken off me this season and I can see it happening again.

‘My shot went goal bound and hit a few people on the way in but I’ve got to claim it!

‘It doesn’t really matter who scored, though. We got the three points and we’re moving up the league nicely.’

Green was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Plymouth goalkeeper Roman Larrieu turned Green’s effort onto the post, then Karl Duguid put it into his own net. So this is likely to see him lose another goal to an opposing player, as he did against Sheffield United, when Matthew Kilgallon was eventually accredited with an own goal.

As Green said though the win is the most important thing as this puts us very much back in the play-off hunt, with an automatic place the next target after that, and we can move even closer if we can beat Blackpool in our next match!
