A Derby XI were able to secure a 3-2 win over Matlock Town on Monday night thanks to a late winner from Aleksander Prijovic, who continues to catch the eye in pre-season.
An XI was certainly the right description, but these players showed some promise to offer encouragement.
Arnaud Mendy opened the scoring before Nathan Benger equalised. Greg Mills made it 2-1 to the Rams going into the break only for Benger to score again. A draw was looking on until Prijovic scored the winner 10 minutes from the end.
