‘For their second goal, I let the ball bounce, which I shouldn’t really have done,’ he Nyatanga.

‘Their striker [Marvin Williams] managed to charge the ball down, went around Lee Camp and was able to put the ball into an empty net.

‘Their first goal was a free header so, to be honest, they were two very bad goals to give away.

‘It was particularly sickening for myself on the second goal. I’m gutted because I feel to end the Christmas schedule on this note isn’t very pleasing but I’ll bounce back.

‘I’ve experienced a few highs already this season but there are going to be times when things like this happen.

‘It’s all about how you deal with them and how you respond – I’ll keep on learning and move on from this.’
