Derby County has had a bid of £1.5m rejected by Brentford as the Rams lodge an interest in attacking midfielder/winger Florian Jozefzoon.

The 27-year-old Dutch midfielder was seen as an ideal replacement for the departed Andreas Weimann but Derby did not value the player as highly as Brentford

Jozefzoon is 5ft 8 inches tall and started his career at Dutch giants Ajax, he also has had time with PSV. International caps have come at U19 (5) and at U21 (5) level.

Jozefroon has played 58 times for Brentford and in that time he has scored 8 goals.

It is unclear at the moment if the Rams intend to improve their offer, as they try to balance the books and reduce player wages but improve the squad.
