Earnshaw wins Vital poll

In last months poll Vital Derby fans were asked “Who should partner Kenny Miller up front for the Rams? An overwhelming winner was the hardly used Robert Earnshaw with 44% of the vote.

The Rams broke their transfer record, previously held by the £3 million transfer of Seth Johnson from Crewe Alexandra, by signing Earnshaw from Norwich City for a fee of £3.5 million on 29 June 2007.

He made his debut for the Rams in a 2-2 draw against Portsmouth on 11 August 2007.

He has struggled to win a first team starting spot in the Premier league, which is strange because he is second only to Thierry Henry as the player with the best goals-to-minutes ratio in Premiership history.

He has also been linked with a move in January to a Championship sides, Cardiff City and Charlton Athletic.

In second place with 30% was a new signing, and will the new Rams boss bring in a striker to play along Miller, only time will tell.

The other results were Steve Howard with 12%, Giles Barnes 8% and Craig Fagan wit h 6%.

This month`s poll is; Who do want as the next boss at Pride Park? Have your say!!!!!
