Derby have confirmed the pre-season plans, dates are to be confirmed but fixtures have been announced, and they will all be taking place in England.

Pre-season begins on July 1st, with the season starting on August 8th, and we will have matches against Burton, Notts County, Chesterfield, Yeovil, Torquay and Exeter. The Yeovil – Exeter matches are part of the five-day West Country tour. August 1st has been kept free for a Premier League or European opponent to be played at Pride Park.

The decision to keep all friendlies in the UK is a purposely selected one, with Nigel Clough believing that this gives more fans the chance to see us in pre-season and with the facilities available to the club there is no need to go abroad for high-tech training complex’s.
