Paul Jewell felt that our performance in our 2-0 defeat at Ipswich on Saturday was one of our worst of the season, all this after our best the week before.

‘Everything that was good about us last week, wasn’t today.

‘It was one of our worst displays this season. It was the type of performance we thought we had seen the back of.

‘It was as poor as we have played for a long time. We were milky to say the least.’

Jewell was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Defensive slips from Claude Davis, and latterly his injury replacement and new signing Darren Powell, helped Ipswich to their victory as clear cut chances for us were at a premium for Derby, with Przemyslaw Kazmierczak’s header among the best but this was saved by Richard Wright.
