Paul Jewell was more than pleased with the point that Derby picked up on Tuesday after a 1-1 draw with highflying Birmingham at Pride Park.
‘I think for effort, determination and guts we deserved something from the game. We showed great character.
‘We didn’t create millions of chances – in fact hardly any chances really -but I don’t think they did. It was an honest game.
‘Both sides gave everything they had, and we definitely deserved something … we maybe could have had a couple of penalties, but I don’t know.’
Jewell was talking to the Evening Telegraph.
This point extended our unbeaten run yet further, and gives further indication that we have got the side gelled as a team and we are on the up.
