Rob Hulse still has a role to play at Derby County and should only be sold if a replacement has been lined up, at least according to the latest poll for Vital Derby members. When asked if we should cash in on the former Sheffield United striker 46% responded only if we have a replacement lined up with another 19% stating that we need to hold on to last season`s top scorer no matter what happens meaning nearly two thirds of those responding think he will still me a major player for The Rams next season.

Of the other results 20% thought he should be moved me on as his wages will free up space to bring in new faces whilst a further 15% said we should sell but only if the money was right. With six strikers already on the books it looks likely than at least one will depart before the close of the transfer window with Luke Varney almost certainly leaving after barely featuring under Nigel Clough and spending the majority of last season on loan at relegated Sheffield Wednesday.

The full results were:

b>Should we cash in on Rob Hulse?

Yes, his contract will clear valuable wages – 20%
No, we need our leading scorer – 19%
Only if the money is right – 15%
