Richard Keogh`s header gave Derby County the lead but Doncaster Rovers equalised through Tommy Rowe in the second period as the friendly ended 1-1 after Chris Martin missed a penalty.

Jonathan Mitchel made a routine save from Rowe in the opening stages and Keogh headed The Rams in front with their first real effort on fourteen minutes when he was first to a Jacob Butterfield corner. Derby enjoyed some long spells of possession without troubling the home keeper before Martin hit the post from Bradley Johnson`s cutback with ten minutes to go until the break.

James Coppinger forced a near post save from Mitchell as the second half got underway and they were back on level terms when Danny Andrew put Rowe through on goal and he calmly converted to put his side level. Mason Bennett was brought down in the area with sixteen minutes to go but Martin blazed over from the spot and Andreas Weimann clipped the top of the bar with a curling effort as the game ended all square.
