Derby slipped to a third successive defeat last night after losing 3-2 against Barnsley.

After going ahead through Rob Hulse’s first goal of the season Barnsley equalised through Adam Hammill then after Kris Commons seemed to be fouled Barnsley broke away to score a second through Andy Gray, which didn’t please Clough, however he still acknowledges that we should have defended better.

“We thought it was a foul on Kris Commons (before the second goal).

Their players stopped and our players stopped. I’m not sure whether it was offside or not, but we’ve still got to defend it better. We seem to be getting punished at the moment for every little thing.”

The Rams boss feels that everything is going against us at the moment and just wants decision called as they should be, the rest should then take of itself.

“There were an awful lot of strange decisions. It’s very frustrating when we’re battling for everything and we can’t get a decision.

We’re not looking for any favours, we’re not looking for anything we don’t deserve, we’re just looking for run-of-the-mill decisions being given correctly.”

Clough was talking after the defeat.

A third from Anderson De Silva secured the points, and an injury time goal from Shaun Barker wasn’t enough to prevent a second home defeat in a row.
