Jake Buxton faces a spell on the sidelines as an operation has been scheduled on his troublesome groin problem that kept him out of the action at the backend of last season and has not cleared up over the summer break. Last week Nigel Clough stated that he did not believe that Buxton would be ready for the start of pre-season training and now the decision has been made to operate to help speed along his recovery.
