James Bailey is looking forward to getting some games under his belt after joining Coventry City on a 93 day loan and making his debut in their Capital One Cup clash with Arsenal, a game that fellow Derby loanee Callum Ball also scored in.

Bailey joined The Rams in a joint deal with John Brayford just over two years ago and he went on to claim the young player of the year award in his first full season at Pride Park. Last season injuries saw him miss out in the first few games beofre the form of Jeff Hendrick and Craig Bryson kept him out of the side and the two have again been Nigel Clough’s first choice in the centre of midfield in the early days of this season. Bailey has been allowed to go out on loan to play some games and he is looking forward to the move telling Skysports:

‘I am looking forward to going to Coventry on loan and getting some first-team football. It will be good for me to go to Coventry and get playing for the next three months. Coventry are a big club and hopefully I can do my part and help them climb up the League One table.’
