Andre Wisdom says the competition for places in the Derby County squad is a good thing.
Wisdom has battled with Chris Baird for the right-back spot with the two sharing the role over the course of the season. The former Liverpool defender looks to be relishing the challenge and having made 24 appearances compared to Baird’s 18 he told dcfc.co.uk:
“Every team needs healthy competition and it`s good to have Bairdy here. He is a great lad and a very experienced professional as well. I think every position on the pitch across the team has that and it can only push you on and make you fight for your place in the team.”

Competition for places certainly won’t hurt us will it?
He’s also done a comprehensive interview here:

I like how he isn’t too interested in what the other clubs are doing, he is right, all we can do is concentrate on our own form and look to get back to winning ways.
“A lot of people are saying ‘Derby were higher up the table and look where they are now’. Yeah, look where we are now. We’re still in a play-off position. We’ve had a good season and hopefully we can continue that up until the very last game.”
A few victories now and we can at least cement our place in the play-offs.
