West Bromwich Albion v Derby County match preview

|

Derby County travel to the West Midlands to take on West Bromwich Albion tomorrow night, a game that will be screened live on Sky Sports. This will be the second time the Rams have been chosen for live screening in just four days.

The Rams are going to have to face the Baggies without midfielder Craig Bryson. The Rams dynamo in the middle of the park had to be substituted during Saturday’s win over Sheffield United with a calf problem. The injury is not thought to be a long-term problem and he may be fit enough for the weekend but will sit out Wednesday’s game at the Hawthorns.

Bryson seems to be the only worry for Frank Lampard as the Rams take on WBA, who are currently the Championships leading scorers with 31 goals scored compared to the Rams 17.

WBA will be without Jake Livermore, as he received a red card in the 84th minute during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against Wigan. WBA could be further weakened by the loss of Craig Dawson and Gareth Barry, who both picked up knocks at the weekend

Referee Robert Jones issues a yellow card to Andrea Wisdom during the opening game of the season. One of four yellows for the Rams

The referee for the evenings game will be Robert Jones from Merseyside. Mr Jones refereed the first game of the season for the Rams when they won 2-1 at Reading. That day he issued four yellow cards to the Rams and three to Reading. Overall this season Mr Jones has overseen 14 games and issued 50 yellow cards and 1 red card.

Derby County have been allocated 2,733 tickets for the game and they are on general sale at the Derby County ticket office.
