Weimann Ready For New Season

Andreas Weimann is looking forward to the new season following his return to training with the rest of the squad earlier this week.

It looked likely the former Aston Villa striker had played his last game for The Rams after spending time on loan at Wolves in the second half of last season but a change of manager at Molyneux scuppered any chances of the deal becoming a permanent one. With the team reporting back for pre-season Weimann told dcfc.co.uk:

“I am definitely looking forward to being back for the new season ahead. We`ve got a new manager here and whilst I hadn’t met him before today, I`m sure we’ll have a conversation. I just can`t wait to get back out there. I`ll try and get through pre-season! Obviously, every player will say that they prefer playing games but you need pre-season and I think I`m one of the players who can run around a bit, so hopefully I`ll be alright!”
