Youngsters Greg Mills and Medi Abalimba have both moved away from Pride Park after deals were agreed for the pair to join AFC Telford and Oldham Athletic respectively. Mills spent time on loan at AFC Telford earlier this season, scoring four goals in twenty-three appearances, and deal has been agreed to take him back on loan to the Blue Square Premier side for the rest of the season. Talking of the deal to dcfc.co.uk Nigel Clough said:

‘Greg had a great deal of success at Telford earlier in the season and they have always been keen to take him back. It will benefit him to keep playing first-team football there.’

Abalimba joined The Rams from Southend United and had been earmarked as one for the future having had trials at Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool before coming to Pride Park. However, it does not appear as though things worked out for the youngster from the Democratic Republic of Congo and the nineteen year old has been allowed to join the Boundary Park club on a free transfer.
