Dean Moxey joined Crystal Palace last night as Nigel Clough`s business on transfer deadline day continued with another player leaving the club. The Rams accepted a bid of an undisclosed amount from the London side, thought to be in the region of £400,000, for the leftback and his last appearance came in the home defeat to Nottingham Forest when he was sent off late on for a second bookable offence after a late challenge on Rob Earnshaw. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about the deal Clough said:

‘We have accepted Crystal Palace’s bid for Dean as we believe it is a good deal for Derby County. Dean is a great lad and has done well for us since signing from Exeter City, but we believe this deal will be best for both parties and Dean will have the opportunity to have a fresh start in his career.”
