Andy Todd has completed his free transfer move to Australian side Perth Glory.

“I’m delighted to be joining the club for next season.

“It’s a big move but one that I’m looking forward to. We’ve enjoyed the city and I think it presents a great lifestyle move as well as an exciting football challenge.

“Perth Glory is on the up and progressing well and from what I’ve seen the coach is bringing together a quality group of players and I’m keen to be part of that.”

Todd was talking after the move was confirmed.

The 34-year-old managed to work his way back into the Derby side under Nigel Clough, after being deemed surplus to requirements under Paul Jewell, but was always expected to be released and so this proved, as did the move to the Australian A League with this long since rumoured.

Good luck to Todd with his new venture down under.
