Gary Rowett is anticipating a busy summer as he looks forward to re-shaping his Derby County squad for next campaign.

Rowett has already gone on record to say he will have total control over the ins and outs during the upcoming transfer window and he will personally oversee the transfers as he starts his rebuild. The Rams` manager has been hands on with transfer dealings during his spells with Burton Albion and Birmingham City and sees no difference this time around telling dcfc.co.uk:

“It always has been hands on for me during the summer and I don`t see it being any different this time around. For the last five years we have sourced our targets through the scouting network and also our own network, which is important. The bulk of it is done by myself, so I know what we`re getting in to. It means more work for me but I won`t be sat on a beach twiddling my thumbs; I`ll be by the pool as I will have a holiday, but with my phone strapped to my ear.”
