Gareth Roberts had another run-out for the reserves yesterday as he continues his return from injury and is willing to fight to regain his place in the side. Roberts` picked up the injury against Sheffield United and what was initially thought to be a bad case of cramp in his calf turned out to also be a slight tear in his hamstring. The leftback has been on the bench in the last couple of weeks but Dean Moxey`s form has kept him out of the side and the Welshman is keen to get involved again telling the Derby Evening Telegraph:

‘I’m just looking to try to get back involved with the (first-team) squad. Of course picking up the injury was frustrating but that’s football. These things happen and I’ll just get my head down, keep working and wait for my chance to come again.’
