The transfer rumours have begun with Derby being linked to a number of players for next season, and the futures of a number of Rams squad members are up in the air.

It`s been reported that Sheffield United pair Michael Tonge and Claude Davis, who were both relegated from the Premier League, are in the sights of Rams boss Billy Davies. Davis worked under Davies at Preston and the Rams boss rates the big Jamaican highly.

Another to be mentioned in despatches is Everton`s Scottish international striker James McFadden. It`s been reported that Davies will go for the Scotland international, who he worked with at Motherwell, to partnership Steve Howard in attack.

Crystal Palace`s Jamaican International Jobi McAnuff is another to be linked with the Rams. He has a year left to run on his current Palace contract, and has said he would like to stay at Selhurst Park, and sign a new deal. But a chance to play in the Premier League might change that.

Of the current squad Lee Camp is wanted by QPR, who he played for last season. Other players in the transfer spot light are: Lewin Nyatanga, Paul Peschisolido, Bob Malcolm, and Mo Camara. Add to that Ryan Smith, who has been at loan at Millwall and Lee Holmes are another pair who may be off-loaded.

Rams skipper Michael Johnson is another who may be looking for another club, and Seth Johnson. Seth had a great play-off`s but struggled for a place in the side last season, is he on the outer at Pride Park?
