Derby County have started to unload unwanted players ahead of announcing the new manager on Friday. Jeff Kenna and Pablo Mills are going to follow Tomasz Hajto out of Pride Park this summer. Hajto?s contract was cancelled mutually earlier in the week, Kenna and Mills have failed to show any sort of form this season and will be looking for more regular first team football.

Rumours still abound that it will be Mike Newell who will be appointed as manager this week, but nothing official has been said, Director Mike Horton is still holding interviews for the post and will be looking to get a good deal for the incoming boss.

New Chairman Peter Gadsby has hinted that the finances at Derby were a complete mess and that once the new board know the true situation they will let supporters know. Although they have promised that the money from season tickets will be used to strengthen the squad and not for debt management.

Once a new manager is in place Derby fans will surely be happier to part with their hard earned cash
