It`s a cold, foggy morning at Moor Farm and the Rams players are put through their warm up, and they need it!!!!. The TV cameras from Down Under are there to interview Australian International Mile Sterjovski, for the nations top TV football show ‘Total Football`.

Sterjovski who flies out to represent his country in a world cup qualifier on Saturday night was quizzed on his move to the Rams and the 28-year-old told the Aussie football fans he`s loving life at Pride Park.

It`s a great honour to play for your country put it`s also an important time for the midfielder, who has just broke into the staring eleven in Paul Jewell`s side. He spoke on ‘Ramsworld` on the official Rams site how the game against Manchester United was the best atmosphere he`s every played in.

He said: “To be honest it was probably one of the best receptions I’ve ever been involved in. The reception has been good all season but I can only call that awesome. The fans have been really positive even when the results haven’t gone our way and that’s one of the reasons we really have to get some wins for them.’

He may be along way from home but his family are here and are too enjoying life in Derby. Sterjovski moved to Pride Park from Genclerbiligi OFTAS after his family struggled to adapt to life in Turkey, although the transfer was held up due to work permit problems.

He said: “I was really happy at the club (in Turkey); they looked after me really well. The league wasn’t too bad. It was just life outside the club.

“My family were unhappy, nobody spoke English, and there wasn’t anything to do for my three-year-old.”
“It’s much different here in England,” said Sterjovski.

“My family and I are happy here. We’re settling in quickly. We love the city, we love the people – we find them really friendly. So there are no problems at all in that regard.”

The New South Wales born Sterjovski, who has played 33 games for his County and scored five goals – including a hat-trick against Tahiti – is undaunted by two 5,000-mile trips in between the Middlesbrough and Fulham games.

‘I’m looking forward to the challenge of the China game,’ he said. ‘It will be a difficult game with a lot of travelling but the national team is well prepared with medical staff and will make sure we’re in good condition and I’m confident I can get back in good shape for the game against Fulham because that’s equally important to me,” explained Sterjovski.
