It is being reported on the HITC website that Derby County paid a fee of £1m to bring talented Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson to Pride Park.

The 21-year-old Welsh International who has a £4,000 per week wage is on a season-long loan with the Rams but due to injury has only played twice for Derby since the start of the season.

The report also claims that the Rams beat off serious competition for Wilson’s signature, with Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers also wanting to take Wilson North of the border. Jurgen Klopp, however, is confident Wilson will be in the best environment and getting regular first-team experience under Lampard at Derby.

Wilson was in contention for a place in the Rams squad for Saturday’s win over Hull City but didn’t make the final 18 for the game. His place in the team has been filled by Mason Bennett and it is hard to see Wilson dis-lodging  Bennett following some very good performances by the Striker.
