Jake Buxton knows Derby County need to tighten up at the back if they are to start picking up the results that the team feel they deserve after they let Burnley off the hook at the weekend and managed to concede a late goal to give Burnley three barely deserved points.

The Rams have let a lead slip three times already this season to let the opposition claim at least a point and nearly let Charlton Athletic back into the match after they were cruising the match at 3-0. The latest setback, against Eddie Howe`s team on Saturday, was partly down to Derby`s profligacy in front of goal but even when they couldn`t find the net the least they should have got was a point before Charlie Austin`s last minute winner. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about the need to tighten up Buxton said:

“We looked like we were going to get the three points but like too many times this season, we are not seeing games out at this moment in time and we have picked up on it in the changing rooms Sadly we haven`t been getting the results our performances deserve. We feel as though we should have six or maybe seven more points than we have.”
