Curtis Davies the rock at the centre of the Derby County defence last season has signed a new contract with the Rams which will keep him at Pride Park until 2020.
The new deal is an extension to his previous contract and now effectively ends the rumours of him following former manager Gary Rowett to Stoke City.
The 33-year-old central defender was every present for the Rams last season, playing 48 games, scoring one goal and 3 assists attributed to his name.
The experienced Davies was brought in to add stability to the Derby defence at the start of last season after several successful seasons at Hull City.
Davies looked fit and ready for the season ahead after he returned to pre-season training on Friday and stated that he was ready and ‘Buzzing’ about the coming season.
