Derby County has completed the signing of Martyn Waghorn.
The £5m+ striker has moved from Ipswich Town to Derby County and is Frank Lampard’s seventh signing of the transfer window.
Waghorn (28) has signed a 3-year deal thought to be £5m but could increase to approach £7.5m with add-ons.
The signing follows last nights departure of Matej Vydra to Burnley. Both fees are undisclosed but it is thought both deals relied on the other, Waghorn being a direct replacement for last season’s Golden Boot winner Vydra.
Waghorn could go straight into the Rams attacking line-up for the televised first home game of the season against Leeds United on Saturday evening.
