Rams closing in on Pearson

Speaking to the Derby Evening Telegraph, manager Billy Davies has confirmed that a deal to bring 23 year old Scotland international Stephen Pearson to the club is very close.

The fee for the Celtic man is believed to be in the region of £600,000, with Davies telling the DET: ‘We’ve virtually agreed a fee with Celtic and hopefully the deal can be done over the next two days’.

Davies also hinted that more players are on the way, with a possibility of further additions before Tuesday’s game at Stoke City.
