The Sheffield Star reports that Derby manager Billy Davies is keen to sign former Rams full back Rob Kozluk from Sheffield United.

Speaking to the paper, Blades boss Neil Warnock said: ‘Derby contacted us before the transfer deadline and they’ve been in touch with us afterwards as well. They’re obviously interested in taking Rob and it’s something I’d consider very carefully.’

Billy Davies was slightly more reticent in his views, telling the Derby Evening Telegraph: ‘I had him at Preston, he is a player I admire, a character in the dressing room and a first-class lad.’

‘I have spoken to his agent and I have spoken to Carl Asaba’s agent. I will really start to worry if Ronaldinho’s agent comes on because that will be in the press as well!

‘At the moment it is conversations only, fact-finding missions.

‘I have two right-backs and if I have anything to spend we need to look at other priorities.’
