Rams boss in trouble again

Rams manager Billy Davies is in trouble with the FA again, after an incident at Roots Hall when the Rams beat Southend 1-0 on January 20th. The incident is the second charge to come out of the game, and the new charge is for using abusive and/or insulting words towards a Southend United FC steward. The Rams boss has until March 22 to respond to the charge.

Davies is a passionate person, and in the heat of the moment these things happen. I`m sure if he had his time again he would have acted differently, but the fourth officials are so pedantic these days and the small Roots Hall ground has a small technical area which Davies wandered out of, and he erred the wrath of the official.

He was keeping his cards close to his chest when he spoke on the clubs official site. He said: “The truth about the events of that day will come out in due course, but unfortunately I can’t say anything more at this time.”

Davies has denied a separate charge of using abusive and/or insulting words towards a Match Official during the same match and requested a personal hearing, which has yet to be scheduled. This is something he doesn`t want hanging over his head with the promotion dog-fight in progress.
