The Rams have appealed Stephen Bywater’s red card he received in the 2-1 defeat at Ipswich Town on Saturday. The Rams keeper was involved in an ugly scuffle with Ipswich defender Alex Bruce as they left the field following their sending-off.

To make matters worse the police became involved and interviewed the Rams keeper after the game, and the Rams boss Billy Davies was present at the police interview. The matter was not reported and is unlikely to be taken further.

The Rams had Darren Moore`s appeal rejected last week but Davies hopes this appeal will be successful, and the FA hearing will take place tomorrow and video and written evidence will be considered by the FA. If the appeal fails, Rams manager Billy Davies will consider recalling keeper Lee Camp from his loan spell at Queens Park Rangers.
