Price Returns But Is Carroll On His Way?

Lewis Price has returned to Derby after his loan at MK Dons, but is his return to cover for the departing Roy Carroll? Reports are saying that Tottenham want him.

The 24-year-old has been with the Dons for a month, but now returns with their thanks. All of this comes about with Carroll linked with a cut-price move to Tottenham, who almost signed another of our goalkeepers Stephen Bywater in the summer, himself being linked with Forest following Billy Davies’ arrival as manager.

Nigel Clough needs to trim the squad and his predecessor Paul Jewell often said that three senior goalkeepers was too many, so allowing one to go could be on the cards but will it be Carroll or Bywater, leaving the Welsh international as our back-up, if not first choice goalkeeper?
