Kasey Palmer scored a goal and got an assist on his first start for Derby County and was happy on a personal level even if disappointed by the result.

Palmer opened the scoring on six minutes when he following up from close range after Tom Lawrence’s shot was saved and he returned the favour just after halftime when his pass out Lawrence in to put his side in front again. “On a personal note I am really happy, I think I played well today. I worked hard, got a goal and an assist for Tom, but it`s a team sport and you can see how disappointed everyone is and how upset fans will be over the result. To score again so early in the game and to put the team in front was a great feeling.’
