Paul Jewell has confirmed that John Oster will not be signing for Derby after being offered a contract, which he has refused.
‘We did offer John something but it wasn’t acceptable to him and he’s got other irons in the fire so it’s one we’ll be moving away from now.’
Jewell was talking to the official website.
The 29-year-old former Welsh international had impressed Jewell sufficiently enough during his trial period with the club during the pre-season matches that he played, and the training he did, but obviously the offer, be this in terms of money or length of contract wasn’t sufficient to him to accept and he has moved on.
