The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County this Saturday.

Sheffield Wednesday host Derby County on Saturday April 22 for the game at Hillsborough and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Paul Tierney
Linesmen: Darren Cann and Michael McDonough
Fourth Official: Christopher Kavanagh

Match Day referee Tierney has officiated 28 games in 2016/17, with a return of 101 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count this season was seven yellows and one red in the game between Swindon and Oxford. He also showed seven yellows in the game between Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.

He took in 42 matches last season and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 118 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers on August 28 with a total of eight yellows being shown and one red card.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
