Match Day referee Tierney has officiated 28 games in 2016/17, with a return of 101 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count this season was seven yellows and one red in the game between Swindon and Oxford. He also showed seven yellows in the game between Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.
