Manchester United and Rangers have joined Tottenham in their interest for Rams midfielder Giles Barnes. The rumours have been flying around in recent weeks, with Spurs being the side who looked certain to take the teen to White Hart Lane, but the Daily Mail says now both United and Rangers are tracking the youngster.

The constant rumours keep re-surfacing but the Rams are adamant no club has contacted them over the 18-year-old services. Rams boss Billy Davies insists the future of youngster Giles Barnes has not been decided, and is getting a little peeved with all the reports in the media and he believe it`s not good for Derby County and Barnes.

Barnes was linked with a move to Tottenham during the January transfer window, but showed on Saturday his class with a spectacular strike in the 2-1 defeat at Sunderland.

But Davies was adamant when he said: “I do not think he is worth £50,000 at the moment, to be honest, he has got a lot of work to do.
‘He has got to find consistency in his game, because inconsistency can be his downfall at the moment.
‘He can play in a number of positions and we are still wondering which his best one is.
‘For now, he has just got to continue his education in the game.’

All Rams supporters hope the youngster stays in the white shirt for a few years to come, but with the figures being mentioned it will be hard for the Rams board to turn down. The Rams keep refuting the move, and to be honest it`s getting a little bit boring. The fact is if Barnes wants to stay at the Rams he will, but that`s his decision, but like all Rams fans I hope it`s settled quickly.
