Nigel Clough remains in the market for new loan reinforcements and one of them is Shane Lowry.
The 21-year-old Aston Villa fullback could be set for another loan in the Football League, having spent time with Plymouth and Leeds last season.
“He’s a lad that we have watched.
He’s a left-sided player and a young lad who played against us for Plymouth last season.”
Clough was talking to BBC Radio Derby.
Lowry, who made Australia’s provisional World Cup squad, signed a new two-year contract with Villa in the summer so does have a future at Villa Park from the looks of it, however, he’s yet to make his league debut so another loan move may well benefit everyone.
