Last chance saloon for big bad John…

Ok, Stern John may not be described as a cowboy by fans of every club he’s played for, but at Derby he’s certainly not cut the mustard so far. So consequently, he’s being given a last chance to impress…

John hasn’t figured for the first team for more than five weeks, but will now get his chance to stake a claim in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Spurs at Moor Farm.

John will return to Coventry City on December 17th when his three month loan spell expires; but if he wants to come back to Pride Park in January permanently, he needs to show the manager what he can do this friendly.
The Trinidad and Tobago international’s last game for Derby also came against London opposition, as the Rams crashed at home to QPR at the end of October.

John will be hoping for better luck this time, but is unlikely to get an easy ride against a strong Spurs line up, which will almost certainly include former Rams star Grzegorz Rasiak.
