Derby County are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bradley Johnson in the five nil victory over Hull City at the weekend at the KCOM Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Johnson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Johnson was one of several star performers as Derby demolished Hull City in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Friday night, scoring twice in the 5-0 rout. He played a big part in Matej Vydra`s first goal, before adding two himself ? converting a deep cross and expertly curling home a low strike from the edge of the area.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Johnson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
