Versatile Ram Happy To Play Wherever Needed

|

Bradley Johnson has played in a number of positions across the midfield for Derby County this season and is happy to play wherever is needed by manager Gary Rowett.

Johnson has made twenty-eight appearances over the course of the season.  He started in the holding midfield position but was then utilised on the left of midfield and also just behind the striker at different times. Talking to dcfco.co.uk about his role in the side he said:

“I’ve played in various positions at this club as everyone knows. I played in the holding role last year for quite a bit and enjoyed it so if I`m needed in that position again I`ll pull on the shirt and do my best for the team. As a player, you just want to be playing football.”

His profile page on the official site states he has 4 goals, 3 assists and has completed 839 passes.

Certainly doesn’t hurt his chances of first team action being so versatile.  Sometimes I do worry that a player becomes a Jack of all trades and a master of none though. At least he knows he plays for Derby County and not Derby City now though!
