Jody Morris signs up to Derby County as assistant to Frank Lampard

Everyone knew it was happening but this afternoon Jody Morris has signed officially for Derby County football club as assistant to Frank Lampard.

The 39-year-old former Chelsea, Leeds and Millwall midfielder will take his place as the right-hand man of the Derby County manager.

Morris has been Chelsea’s U18 coach for the last two years and in that time has been highly successful winning the FA youth cup last season along with the Under-18 Premier League South and National title in his first season in the role. Adding to the list of trophies last season with an impressive treble of, FA Youth Cup, Premier League Cup and Premier League South. He has been specifically engaged to bring through several of the promising Academy players currently at Moor Farm.

A successful Playing career was also shared between Morris and Lampard. In their time at Chelsea Morris won:
