With the long running transfer saga involving a well publicised target lasting almost two-months already Paul Jewell is getting close to shifting his attentions elsewhere.

With a striker and a midfielder still wanted Jewell isn’t going to wait much longer for that certain deal to be completed, so with irons in other fires and other options available to him has said that he will soon turn his attentions to them.

In other Derby news Bob Malcolm, who was released in the summer, has decided to join Motherwell, with the official Motherwell website confirming his capture today. The paperwork required will be finalised on Friday.

I wish Malcolm well. Things didn’t really work out for him at Derby, and indeed in England but now back in Scotland he will be hoping to get his career back on track.
