Paul Jewell was happy to accept a point against Coventry after the 1-1 draw at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, as he concedes Coventry were the better side.

‘We would not have deserved the three points because I thought Coventry played well, but sometimes you do not always get what you deserve in this game.

‘I thought we played OK at Blackpool on Tuesday and got nothing out of the game.

‘Coventry were the better team today but for 90 minutes we defended manfully, we got bodies in the way of crosses and shots.

‘We did not play well and so it would have been magnificent had we got the three points.’

Coventry’s Chris Coleman was pleased with what he got from his side and also said that had they got nothing he’d have been more than a little disappointed.

‘We kept going, kept pushing, and we made it happen.

‘I was really happy with the guys` appetite for the ball. When we were one down, I did not see any shrinking violets out there, we were very gutsy.

‘Had we not got at least a point, I would have been very disappointed.’

Both were talking to the Evening Telegraph.
