Steve Davies is a transfer target for Ipswich Town where former Derby manager Paul Jewell is currently in charge. Davies was leading scorer for The Rams last season but turned down the offer of an extension on his contract for “family reasons” and Nigel Clough is willing to listen to offers for the striker. Jewell originally brought Davies to Pride Park when in charge and is reportedly interested in bringing him to Portman Road to boost his attacking options. Reports suggested a bid of £500,000 had been made although the club deny any official offer had been made and Clough may want up to £1million for the 24-year-old.
